I remember how it used to be such a big deal, and now there are people winning obviously cheating and using programs to get 100,000s of votes. And the people lately winning have no style. In the middle of the Pacific Ocean is a manmade island. This island is dedicated to the ‘Heroes initiative.’ The idea was to train up new heroes so that they were prepared to fight for the human race.
It is an academy, for young and old alike. The heroes are trained to serve and protect, like super cops, however despite being funded by the government the academy is run by ‘mutants’.
The Island is constantly under pressure to produce the best and to riddle out the ones who might turn against the government. The whole thing is controversial, the public saying its treat putting all these weapons together on one island.
The academy, from the outside, is an Edwardian manor house. In the inside its modern, with rooms fitted for any power. Next to the main building are the dorms, one for boys and the other for girls. Each dorm is shared, going from a two person dorm to a six person dorm. Outside the academy is surrounded by a forest, and outside that forest are the beaches. The beaches are strictly out of bound, under penalty of exclusion. For on the beaches are the government buildings, monitoring the school’s every move.
